Water/Dialysate Testing
Spectra bills the medical facility for any water/dialysate testing, with fee schedules established by a pre-determined service agreement.

Managed Care Organizations
Payment arrangements are available for managed care organizations (MCOs) and other insurance providers that may not pay Spectra directly. Please contact your Spectra Billing Representative to discuss specific MCO practices.

Private Insurance
Spectra will bill private insurance companies for treatment upon receipt of the patient's active insurance information or a copy of the insurance card. Depending upon individual policies, patients may be responsible for co-payments, deductibles, out-of-pocket or non-covered charges.

Medicare & Medicaid Plans
CMS requires ordering physicians to provide laboratories with a diagnosis code which supports medical necessity for each requested test. The Composite Rate lab tests and ESRD PPS Consolidated Billing lab tests include a number of laboratory tests for Hemodialysis, IPD, CCPD and CAPD.  Spectra can arrange for HL7, 835, delimited or other file types with these lab tests to clients to itemize on their ESRD claim.
